Hi, I’m Jennifer – Countryside Cook, Mom, and Keeper of Family Traditions
I live a slow and beautiful life in the countryside with my husband Paul, a passionate winemaker, and our two kids, Chloe and Julian. Our home is always filled with good food, the scent of fresh herbs, and laughter echoing from the kitchen. Cooking isn’t just part of my day—it’s how I connect with the people I love.
I host small cooking classes right in my farmhouse kitchen, where I share the kind of recipes that are practical, delicious, and steeped in tradition. Many of my favorite tips come from my grandmother—like how to test dough by touch, or why you should always let soup rest before serving. Those lessons, passed down through generations, still shape the way I cook today.
My recipes are meant for real life: nourishing meals that are simple enough for weeknights, but special enough to serve with a glass of my husband’s newest blend. Think creamy stews that warm you on chilly evenings, roasted vegetables from our garden, or berry cobblers inspired by summers past.
I believe food is best when it’s shared—whether around a family table or with friends in a workshop—and that even the most practical meals can carry meaning. My cooking is rooted in love, memory, and little touches that make a big difference, like a splash of white wine in your risotto or fresh thyme from the windowsill.
If you’re looking for thoughtful recipes that blend old-school wisdom with everyday ease, I’d be honored to welcome you into my kitchen. There’s always something simmering, a story to tell, and a seat at the table.
