Hi, I’m Harper – Home Baker, Storyteller, and Mom to My Favorite Little Sous-Chef
I’m a single mom to my sweet, curious son Owen, and there’s nothing I love more than spending quiet weekends in the kitchen with him—especially when the leaves start to change and the air smells like cinnamon and rain. Baking has always been my comfort zone. It’s where I go to reconnect with my memories, especially the ones of my own mom and I in the kitchen, hands dusted with flour, laughing over cracked eggs and lopsided cookies.
Now, I get to pass that magic down to Owen. We’ve made it our little ritual—pancakes on Saturdays, apple crisp on rainy afternoons, and every so often, a pumpkin pie just because it feels like fall in our hearts. He stirs the batter while I sneak in the spices, and we both end up with chocolate on our cheeks and memories in the making.
My recipes are cozy, simple, and full of heart—just like the moments they’re built around. I love dishes that feel like a hug: warm casseroles, one-pot pastas, and especially anything baked with love and a pinch of nostalgia. To me, food isn’t just about taste—it’s about the stories we carry, the traditions we pass on, and the quiet joy of creating something beautiful from scratch.
Through my cooking, I hope to help other home cooks—especially parents—find that same joy. Whether you’re whipping up dessert after a long day or crafting a weekend meal with your little one by your side, I’m here to share the kind of recipes that feel like coming home.
